Pope Paul VI Memorial Hotel was established in 1973 following the laying of its foundation stone by His Eminence Emmanuel Cardinal Nsubuga. The hotel was built in memory of the historic 1969 visit of His Holiness Pope Paul VI to Uganda — a visit that marked a significant moment in the spiritual and national history of the country.
Since its establishment, the hotel has stood as a symbol of dignity, peace, and warm Ugandan hospitality.
